Tiazac

Tiazac® is indicated for the treatment of hypertension (high blood pressure) and angina (chest pain). Tiazac belongs to a class of drugs known as calcium channel blockers (CCBs).

As a calcium channel blocker, Tiazac lowers blood pressure by blocking calcium influx into the smooth muscle cells of the blood vessels.

In the U.S., approximately 65 million people have hypertension.* Unfortunately, NHANES 2000 revealed that only 59% receive treatment, and only 31% of those treated have their condition under adequate control.** Hypertension is a lifelong condition and can remain asymptomatic for many years. It is very important to reach blood pressure goal and maintain that goal throughout one's life.
